Less than a week till showtime
This blog post is a bit of a mix. The two weeks at Seachnage were really good, but hard work. The space is amazing and we could leave our set up for the whole time, which meant we could use the time to create the show. However the set still needs adjusting with no budget left for the designer to adjust things, I have had to pull in favours from elsewhere to fix the problems.
Creation went well managing to make all the material we need for the piece and have a public sharing to over 35 people on the final day of the residency was so useful. I leant a lot about what we will need to do to the show in the final few days of rehearsal to make it work as well as we can.
There are quite a few changes to be made but nothing too drastic and feedback from the audience was positive.
This week has been another admin week, and I will not lie it has been tough. I have been up and down with my feelings about the show. Worrying about the work load in final rehearsals and getting everything finished. However today I looked at the videos from rehearsals at Seachange and we have made interesting things that when everything comes together will make a fun show for the audience to be in. I am looking forward to Greenwich next week.
